Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how ZikkLabs (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use this website and the products we operate, including InflowBooks, LogiKFlow, DueChime, SplitMyBill, AzanTimes, MazhaUndo, and ZikKit.

Who we are

ZikkLabs is a sole proprietorship based in India that builds and operates software products. We are responsible for the personal information processed through this website and our products. When a masjid committee uses InflowBooks to keep member records, the committee decides what to record and how those records are used, and we process them on the committee’s behalf.

Information we collect

• Information you provide: such as your name, email address, phone number, and the content you enter when you create an account, use a product, or contact us. If you sign in with, or connect a product to, a Google or Meta account, we receive only the information you authorise, such as your name and email address, and use it only to provide that feature.
• Payment information: payments for paid products are processed by our payment gateway providers. We receive the payment status and limited transaction details, such as the amount, date, payment method, and transaction reference. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or net banking password.
• Notification information: if you turn on email, SMS, WhatsApp, or browser notifications in a product, we process the details needed to deliver them, such as your email address, phone number, or browser notification subscription, and the content of those notifications. You can turn off optional notifications at any time in the product or in your browser settings.
• Technical information: such as IP address, browser and device type, and request times, processed by our hosting and analytics providers to deliver, secure, and improve our products.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve our products
• To create and manage your account
• To process payments and issue receipts
• To send service messages about your account or payments, and the reminders you have enabled
• To respond to support requests and enquiries
• To protect our products against fraud, abuse, and security threats
• To comply with our legal obligations

We process personal information with your consent or where the law otherwise permits it, such as to provide a product you have chosen to use or to meet a legal obligation. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. Where a product receives information from Google APIs, our use and transfer of that information to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Sharing of information

We share personal information with service providers that help us operate our products, such as hosting, cloud infrastructure, analytics, link shortening, email and messaging delivery, and payment processing providers. These providers process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services, and some may process it outside India. When you choose to share information, such as through a SplitMyBill link or an InflowBooks public page, it is visible to the people who open that link or page. We may also disclose information where required by law, or where needed to protect our rights or the safety of our users or others.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our products use essential cookies or browser storage where needed, such as to keep you signed in. AzanTimes, MazhaUndo, SplitMyBill, and ZikKit also use analytics services, such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to understand how they are used. SplitMyBill saves bills in your browser rather than in an account. If you share a bill as a short link, the bill details needed to open that link are stored by the short-link service.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as long as we need it to provide our products. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete or anonymise it within 30 days of receiving your request. The exception is records we must keep by law, such as invoices and payment records for tax and accounting purposes, which we retain for the period the law requires.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal data breach affects your information, we will inform you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request a summary of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct, complete, update, or delete it, and nominate another person to exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity. You may withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect processing already carried out, but we may no longer be able to provide features that depend on it. To make a request, contact us using the details below or follow the steps in our data deletion instructions. If you have a grievance about how we handle your information, contact us first. If we do not resolve it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our products are not intended for use by children under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without such consent. Where an organisation, such as a masjid committee using InflowBooks, records information about children, that organisation is responsible for obtaining any consent the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.
